Graffiature impiegala tecnica Aperture, prevedendo la sovrapposizione di due smalti tono su tono, che a crudo sono sottoposti ad una “graffiatura” manuale per ottenere, dopo cottura, una particolare texture visiva e tattile che richiama le venature delle foglie. La giusta pressione della mano consente di segnare unicamente lo smalto superficiale lasciando intatto quello sottostante che andrà dopo cottura a ricreare un particolare effetto ottico.
Graffiature uses the Aperture technique, providing the overlapping of two tone-on-tone glazes, which on the raw surface are subjected to a manual “scratching” to obtain, after cooking, a particular visual and tactile texture that recalls the veins of the leaves. The right pressure of the hand allows to mark only the the superficial glaze, leaving the underlying glaze intact, which will go after on cooking to recreate a particular optical effect.
