Un tappeto che racconta i tessuti giapponesi Ikat delle culture rurali del primo ‘800.
Attraverso la geometria centrale si vuole rappresentare il dettaglio scalato dei bordi rarefatti dei tessuti Ikat tinti naturalmente tipici dell’isola di Ryukyu, (l’odierna Okinawa). Le diverse tonalità dell’indaco, dal blu scarico, al blu oltremare sino al quasi nero, mescolate ai toni sabbia e beige delle lane crude caratterizzano la tipica fiammatura trama-ordito.
A rug that tells the Japanese Ikat fabrics of the early 19th rural. Through the central geometry we want to represent the scaled detail of the edges rarefied fabrics of naturally dyed Ikat fabrics typical of the island of Ryukyu (actually called Okinawa). The different shades of indigo, from the exhaust blue, to the ultramarine to the almost black, mixed with sand and beige tones of raw wool characterize the typical flaming weft-warp.
